Man and Van Leicestershire Terms and Conditions

Please ensure you read through our terms and conditions and conditions carefully before proceeding with any of our Man and Van Leicestershire services.  If there is anything that you do not understand or have a concern about, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss this with you.

Parking

Providing parking is the responsibility of the customer please bear in mind:

  • Yellow Lines
  • Red Routes
  • Resident Only Parking – (where you need to provide a permit or day pass)

Please try to reserve a space outside before the man with a van arrives or call the Council to get a suspension or permit where necessary.  Please be honest and state where the closest legal parking  is available i.e 100 yards away etc.  This may cost a little more but is better for you if we know in advance also better for the man with a van to ensure the service is catered.  If there is no parking arranged any parking fines received will be the responsibility of the customer and must be paid by the customer on completion, however our man with a van will not park illegally and may have to leave if legal parking is not provided.

Awkward Access

If you have not informed us you will incur extra charges for awkward access this can include:

  • No vehicle Access
  • No Parking Available
  • No Parking Available in close Proximity to the Property
  • Cramped Hallway or Stairs conditions where the furniture due to being to large will not fit
  • More than one Doorway or Corridor to pass through
  • Having to go through Rear Access and through Court Yards etc
Arrival / Delivery Times / Cancellations

Our Man and van Leicestershire based will do their best to arrive within the time scale stated and quoted for, however arrival times and delivery times are estimated. Delays to pick-up or delivery times are sometimes unavoidable and affected due to traffic accidents, weather etc.  We do not accept any responsibility for any customer loses due to unforeseen or out of our control delivery or pick-up delays or cancellations. If due to unforeseen circumstances we do have to cancel your removal we will try to give at least 48 hours notice where possible.

Changes in Loads or Item Numbers

You may incur extra charges if the actual load or amount of items on the day exceeds the load or amount of items that were included in your quotation,  If you have grossly under-estimated or have been misleading in any way about the load or amount of items you have, we have the right to refuse assistance on the day.

Your Packing Responsibilities

We accept no responsibility for breakage or damage to loads or items that have not been packed or protected by adequate means. It is you the customers responsibility to dismantle any flat pack furniture, beds, units, systems etc and this should be done before the arrival of the man with a van. It is you the customers responsibility to ensure that items will fit into the new property or new premises.  Our man with van will not be able to remove doors or frames on the day.  It is up to you to arrange a specialist if required, this can also be done using our services.

Unforeseen Circumstances

We reserve the right to add extra costs due to unforeseen circumstances for example:

  • Waiting for Keys
  • Gaining Entry
  • Incorrect Addresses
  • Removal of Windows etc

Postponement or Cancellation

If you cancel or postpone your man with van, after your booking has been confirmed.  You will be charged 50% of the confirmed quotation.  If you cancel or postpone within 48 hours of the due date of the booking, you will be charged the value in full.  We reserve the right to change or cancel the dates and times.

Congestion and Toll Charges

There will be an extra charge of £12 when passing through the London Congestion Charge Zone, other congestion charge zones and tolls will be charged accordingly. (Unless otherwise stated)

Verbal or threatening behavior will not be tolerated. If our man with van is forced to leave the job because of abuse from the customer verbal or otherwise the customer will still be liable to pay in full.
Payment Requirements
Payments can be made via BACS TRANSFER in advance or Cash to the driver on the day. You should make sure that you have the cash ready in advance as cash point visits and waiting times are chargeable.
